JHB TFC JOINS FORCES WITH PANORAMA SPORTS CLUB

The Westrand arm of the Johannesburg Table Football Club will be moving location from Clifford Graaff's premises to the Panorama Sports Club in Radiokop Johannesburg. There are various reasons for this as Jason Kennedy explains, 'I have been a member at Panorama Football Club for 11 year's now and I am still there as a player and as a Director of Coaching, this makes logical sense, as our football section is 500 + players strong from Under 6 to Veterans, and our already 26 plus Table Football members should double from the game itself being exposed to the children and to the adult/ senior players and parents' We will be hosting the 2nd South African Open at the Clubhouse which boasts a full kitchen, excellent bar facility, toilets, change rooms, fields for the kids to run around on during their games off and it is in a very central location. We will be advertising the event and have already invited various sponsors and club members to come and watch and or participate, so these are very exciting times for the Westrand branch of the JHB TFC. TABLE FOOTBALL WORLD CUP 2010 COME TO SOUTH AFRICA
League Action Friday 8th May 2009 @ Panorama

Round 2 of the 2009 Table Football League kicks off at 18h30

Panorama Table Football Club welcomes all new and beginner players to the club and wishes them a long and successful stay with us in the future. On league night one, a host of new Senior and especially Junior players came along to learn the rules and ropes from the more experienced players and a superb night was had by all.
With the 2008 League winner away, Jason Kennedy and Harold Silber took advantage of the night and managed to secure themselves some vital wins. Harold beat Jason 1-0 in an end to end encounter and Jason managed to beat Clifford 2-1 in the last 5 seconds of play. Other results also went favourably for the pair. In the Junior ranks, the new players settled in well and will soon be challenging for victory, namely Alex Rodrigues and Slade Livesey.

Round 2 will be interesting and should see the return of the current league champion Sean Morgan to action which will make for some very interesting league games on the night.

LAUNCH NIGHT AT PANORAMA A SUCCESS

10 New Table football addicts arrived to learn the ropes from the advanced and intermediate players at the sports club and enjoyed a great evening of playing and learning. We welcome all our new enthusiasts and assure them that we will be having a beginner league, intermediate league and advanced league in 2009. No more 5-0 thrashings for Nottingham Forest!!!! All interested players must contact the numbers below. Sean Morgan clinches the 2nd SOUTH AFRICAN OPEN

SATFA hosted their most successful event yet at their new home ground and a fantastic day was had by all participants. Mille (The Skye Group and Mille sponsored prizes for all junior and senior players).
The group stages were evenly contested and the action really got going through the quarter and semi finals.

Outsiders did well on the day and one of them managed to beat the South African number 1.

The senior final saw Sean Morgan (2008 League Winner) take on Jason Kennedy in a tactical battle which managed to produce some top quality goals. Sean won it 3-2 in the end and the large crowd throughly enjoyed the day out.

The Junior final was the clash of the Bodiat Brothers and the honours went to Yasir Bodiat.
SATFA once again organised a brilliant event and we look forward to all our 2009 FISTF events.

SEAN MORGAN WINS 2ND LEAGUE TITLE IN A ROW

SEAN MORGAN, became the League Champion of the 2008 Johannesburg/ Westrand League, and will take some beating in 2009.

A very consistent season from Sean, left him ahead of the pack with Clifford Graaff coming runner up and Jason Kennedy coming third.

Next season will be bigger and better than ever before.

Congratulations Sean!
